This very rare presentation of multiple myeloma shows plasma cells with prominent inclusions that are morphologically very reminiscent of Auerse rods. Purple-red, rod-like to bundle-like inclusions are seen in several plasma cells with an aspect similar to the classic "faggot cells" described in acute promyelocyte leukemia (APL).
