Monocyte
Monocytes are the largest leukocytes normally present. The cells have a cytoplasm tending toward gray. The nucleus can have very different shapes. Depending on the activity, one to several vacuoles can usually be seen. Monocytes can develop a reactive appearance under many conditions; including bacterial, viral, as well as aseptic inflammation/stress.
